Salary: Competitive (depending on experience) from £45.000 to £55,000
Hours: Full-time, weekend work sometimes required with days in Lieu to compensate

To help design, install and set up our new Hepburn Bio Mass Waste Water Treatment System. A system that will help to dramatically reduce the discharge of sludge solids, grease and fat into our oceans and land based areas, protecting our planet for our children’s future.
The company
Hepburn Bio Mass Systems design and produce a modular, clip on system designed to fit into any marine vessel, end resort hotels, off shore rigs, Flotels etc. to biodegrade all sludge and waste stream solids from galley grey to black water. Hepburn Bio Care the parent company is based overseas and is a world leader in producing the only full range of certified biodegradable, environmentally friendly solutions for marine and land-based industries, ranging from wastewater treatment to interior/exterior cleaning, laundry, galley and sanitising. These include both chemical products and the “hardware” to support them. You may be asked to help out with other system designs and installations, it is a team effort.

The role
This particular role within our Marine Care team will involve being Project Engineer in the design, manufacture and fitting of hardware for use on board vessels and land based as well as support of the use of our other systems. This is a great opportunity for someone with a Marine Engineering background to put their skills to the test, in working on new and innovative projects and making a real difference to the world we live in.

You will be the public face of the business; dealing with clients and client staff so it is essential that you are neat tidy and that you have excellent personal communication, report writing and IT skills.

The person required should have:
Strong math and problem-solving skills. You also need experience with computers, especially with CAD software. You should enjoy hands-on work and be able to communicate effectively when giving instructions.
- Support projects from the design stage, through manufacture, installation, implementation and beyond.
- Good EXCEL skills, costing, cost analysis, stock accessories control, technical support documents
- Hands on Engineering as well as office-based design and planning
- Technical liaison between existing clients and representative engineers.
- Ensure project installation conforms to all regulations
- Proactively monitor product performance, consumption and client relations
- Experience in Marine Engineering, sea time is preferable
- Hands on workshop experience and skills essential.
- Fluent English with other language skills beneficial
- Computer literate, EXCEL and CAD
- Experienced report writer
- Excellent communication skills
- Flexible with travel worldwide
